SPLC Action Fund Endorses Kimberly Haase for Acworth City Council
ATLANTA – The SPLC Action Fund today endorsed Kimberly Haase for Alderwoman Post 2 on the Acworth City Council. Haase, a local business owner, has pledged to focus on ensuring fairness in city government.
“Kimberly Haase has demonstrated that she understands the tremendous impact local elected officials can have on the everyday lives of citizens,” said Madison Hollon, program manager of political campaigns for the SPLC Action Fund. “We are proud to endorse her because she has made clear that she is committed to using that power to ensure fairness in city government.”
The SPLC Action Fund is focused on lifting up communities of color, particularly in the Deep South, who too often face systemic oppression, poverty and structural racism. To overcome these injustices, the organization is committed to reimagining the political, economic and social systems that sustain them to create a world where all people can thrive.
In pursuit of this bold agenda, the SPLC Action Fund supports candidates who share its commitment to addressing the deep inequities that plague our nation.
