SPLC Action Fund Endorses J.D. Rice for Mayor of Valdosta
ATLANTA – The SPLC Action Fund today endorsed J.D. Rice for mayor of Valdosta, Georgia. Rice served for nearly two decades as Valdosta Fire Chief.
“We are proud to endorse J.D. Rice in his run for Mayor of Valdosta,” said Madison Hollon, program manager of political campaigns for the SPLC Action Fund. “J.D. has demonstrated his commitment to the citizens of Valdosta through his tenure with the fire department and his advocacy for progressive change.”
The SPLC Action Fund is focused on lifting up communities of color, particularly in the Deep South, who to often face systemic oppression, poverty and structural racism.
